The making and showing of movies became a source of profit as soon as the process was invented. There are low budgeted films and there are some producers that spend a lot on making a movie. The aim of producing these expensive films is not to get any kind of award for the investment which has been made by producer but the ultimate goal is to get more and more revenue which is the basic principle of every investment.
We now present the top three most expensive movies that made my list.
3. King Kong – $207 million
It is a remake of the 1933 film of the same title and was once the most expensive movie of Hollywood.
2. Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End – $300 million
This is the third film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series. This movie took huge amount for its production but in return, gave success in terms of revenue and won "Best Movie" at the People's Choice Awards.
3. Avatar – $500 million
Avatar is an American epic science fiction film written and directed by James Cameron. It uses an innovative new motion capture camera, an enormous performance-capture stage, a special skullcap for recording facial expressions and the entire film is being filmed in 3D.
